What is Pilates?

Pilates consists of an extensive variety of exercises performed on a spring-based apparatus called the reformer, a mat, and other accessory equipment.  The focus is on controlled movement patterns, coordination, and proper breathing techniques, while improving core strength, stability, and mobility and flexibility of the spine and extremities.

Who can do Pilates?

Pilates works for all ages and fitness levels. It is extremely effective for rehabilitation and the prevention of injury recurrence, as well as athletic and dance conditioning.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Please avoid jewelry and body lotion.
